Overworked under appreciated

Are you a workaholic, that would be me. I am responsible and I pay my bills on time. I work hard one because I enjoy my job. The second reason is I like being responsible. I get stress out when I don’t have the money to take care of an obligation. It drives me bananas. I see my co-workers taking days off at least once or twice a month I wonder how can they afford that. I would love to take time off to take a vacation. I save money every year for a family vacation but end up spending it for family emergencies.

One day I asked my co-worker how do you just take off from work like that. She replied” You got to balance your work life and your social life.” I thought long and hard what she said the only conclusion I could come up with she must have a higher income than I do. This women can not be put off her responsibilities just for leisure. What sane individual would do something like that. If I take a day off work my pay check will be short and I would be short on my bills. Whatever she was doing I wanted to figure it out. I love working but I think I would love some time off too.
